Spectrafuge Mini Centrifuge

This personal sized centrifuge is ideal for microfiltration and quick spin downs from the walls and caps of microcentrifuge tubes.

Requiring less than six inches of bench space, the Spectrafuge Mini is supplied with rotors and adapters to accommodate 1.5 ml, 0.5 ml and 0.4 ml tubes as well as 0.2 ml strips and individual tubes. The standard and strip tube rotors are easily interchanged.

The easy-open, translucent lid utilizes a stainless steel hinge pin for durability. Five different lid colors are available including gray, blue, teal, purple and red.

An on/off switch is located on the side of the Spectrafuge Mini for starting and stopping operation. Alternatively, with the switch in the on position, the centrifuge can be started and stopped by closing and opening the lid.

Quick Spin Minifuges

The original Quick Spin Minifuge is available with two different rotor configurations. The strip tube model holds two 8 x 0.2 ml PCR strip tubes or 16 individual 0.2 ml tubes. The standard model accommodates 6 x 1.5/2.0 ml tubes directly and smaller tubes with adapters. Both 0.5 and 0.4 ml adapters are supplied with the standard unit.

Requiring less than six inches of bench space, the economical Quick Spin Minifuges are ideal for personal use. Both units can be used for applications such as microfiltration of samples and quick spin downs from the walls and caps of tubes.

Operation of the centrifuge begins when the lid is closed. The rotor is quickly accelerated to 6000rpm. Upon opening the lid, the rotor comes to a stop.

Compact Centrifuges
Digital Laboratory Centrifuge for 15ml and 50ml conical tubes

The microprocessor controlled Z 206 A is a compact centrifuge ideal for use in both research and clinical laboratories.

The Z206 A features a newly designed LCD control panel that provides efficient control over all settings with one ergonomically positioned adjustment knob. Operation of the centrifuge can be timed from 10 seconds to 99 hours (or continuous) and speed can be set and viewed in both RPM and RCF (up to 6,000 rpm/ 4,185 x g). If a load is not properly balanced, the imbalance sensor will stop operation of the unit.

Three angle rotors are available for use with the Z 206 A. The 15 ml rotor has a capacity for twelve tubes while the 50 ml rotor will hold six. A microtube rotor is also available for 18 tubes. A swing out rotor is also available for 6 x 5 ml tubes. Optional adapters accommodate various tube sizes including standard conical tubes and round bottom blood tubes.

Clinical Centrifuge
Compact Laboratory Centrifuge

The Z100A features a 6 x 15 ml fixed angle rotor. The variable speed unit runs to 4,000 rpm/1,900 x g, suitable for a variety of applications in the clinical setting or research lab. The rotor accepts six 15ml or 10ml tubes directly. Optional adapters accept smaller tubes, including common blood draw tubes.

The Z100A is equipped with a clear lid for visualizing the rotor. A safety interlock cuts power to the centrifuge when the lid is opened. The rugged ABS housing adds durability to the centrifuge and is easy to clean.

Z300 and Refrigerated Z300K
Universal Laboratory Centrifuges

The Z 300 and Z 300 K are the most economical of the universal microprocessor controlled units in the Hermle line. These centrifuges accommodate microplates and tubes up to 100 ml in swing-out and fixed angle rotors. A broad speed range and high g-force make them ideal for applications from clinical to molecular biology.

A digital microprocessor controls all operating parameters including speed and time. Overspeed conditions are eliminated by the rotor recognition program which automatically identifies each rotor and limits it to the maximum rated speed. Improperly loaded rotors trigger the safety imbalance detection system which stops operation of the centrifuge.

The powerful, induction drive in the Z 300 centrifuges quickly accelerates rotors to the preset speed. Two acceleration and deceleration rates can be chosen to protect fragile samples. Operation of the centrifuge may be timed, continuous or momentary.

Ambient air circulates throughout the chamber of the Z 300 preventing significant rises in sample temperature. The refrigeration system in the Z 300 K maintains all rotors at the set temperature regardless of rotor speed.

High Performance Microcentrifuges

The Z 233 M2 microcentrifuge has been designed to provide total control over operating parameters. A microprocessor, brushless induction drive, high speed capabilities, and unmatched capacity make the Z 233 M2 the ultimate in high performance.

Operating parameters, including speed/g-force and run time are set using easy to turn knobs while their values are shown on large digital displays. Both rpm and g-force can be displayed during a run. Acceleration and deceleration rates can be set at fast or slow. Momentary spins are achieved by pressing the quick button.

A rugged housing, heavy duty lid lock and hinge as well as a stainless steel bowl make the Z 233 series microcentrifuges durable workhorses. Seven rotor options are available.
