EEG System

Our EEG system consists of pre-amplifier unit, the isolation unit, and system computer. 68 channel, and 136 channel configurations are available, both for simultaneous EEG/fMRI and EEG/MEG. The EEG system consists of a pre-amplifier unit, isolation unit, system computer with 24" flat panel monitor, acquisition software with integrated stimulus presentation, and unlimited number of licenses. Recent advances in technology allow us to sell the systems at a significantly lower price than current industry standards.

Pre-Amplifier Unit

The Pre-Amplifier System can be used with our isolation and data acquisition units or as a stand-alone upgrade to boost the performance of older systems.

Amplifiers have PTP noise of 0.89 uV (1-100Hz) 3uV/C drift for outstanding DC and noise performance. Input impedance is 1GW; offset potential tolerance is +/-40mV (requires Ag/AgCl sintered electrodes). Factory configuration is 64 monopolar, 4 bipolar channels for a total of 68; second board also provides 68 channel for a total of 136.

Isolation Unit

The Isolation Unit is designed to place the early stage amplification as close to the subject as possible which makes it ideal for noise-sensitive situations and other difficult recording environments.

Subject isolation is provided in a second unit. All 136 channels are optically isolated to 5 kV. Input voltage: 115(120)/230(240) VAC. Input current: 2A

Acquisition Parameters

bulletAggregate sampling rate of 300 Kilosamples per second (KPS) on banks of 32 channels. The maximum recommended sampling rate on 136 channels is 4KPS. Maximum sampling on 1 channel per bank of 32 channels is 150KPS and 35KPS for 8 channels per bank of 32.
bulletTracking anti-aliasing sampling filters are set to one fifth of the sampling rate.
bulletHigh-resolution SAR Analog-to-Digital converters.
bulletTrue DC amplifiers with top of the line instrumentation amplifiers resulting in 1uV if noise exceeding industry standards of 2uV noise. Ultra low drift and DC offset.
bulletModular design allows the system to be used in harsh recording environments (fMRI).
bulletOptical and electronic control of sampling system allows synchronization with external devices such as cochlear implants and MRI scanners.
bulletEA68 system provides 64 mono-polar EEG channels and 4 bipolar. EA136 system provides 128 channels and 8 bipolar channels. Bipolar channels can be configured mono-polar to increase channel count. An additional 28 High level input channels provides tremendous flexibility to digitize additional non-patient analog data.
bullet16 Digital stimulus inputs bits available for interfacing to external devices such as presentation and other multimodality stimulators.
bullet8 Digital response input bits available to interface to other response manipulanda.
bulletMedical Grade Isolation transformer.
